VACANCIES

Samarthan has completed 13 years of working in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as a leading organization to promote participatory governance and development. Samarthan is building a new unit “Policy Research Group” to play a strategic support role in influencing policies and practices around decentralized governance in rural and urban areas.

Candidates having Masters/ M.Phil/ Ph.D in Social Sciences with experience in decentralized governance or development are required for the following positions. Knowledge of computer applications and SPSS will be desirable.

Research Co-ordinators

Candidates having at least 5-7 years of demonstrated abilities of conducting research studies, designing instruments, using data collection tools, data processing and report writing.
Research Associates

Candidates having at least 3-6 years of experience of conducting research or assisting in large scale studies or monitoring development projects with strong analytical abilities.
Research Assistant

Fresh post graduates from reputed institutions and universities having strong desire to specialize in action research and experimenting new ideas at the grass roots level in participatory governance

Salaries will commensurate with experiences however will be at least consistent with UGC pay scales for Professor, Reader and Lecturer for the above three post.
