Deputy Director (Research and Advocacy)

Our Participatory Research and Advocacy Unit aims at identifying issues and solutions through governance reform lenses in development programmes and institutional mechanisms that are responsible for delivery of basic services and rights and entitlements to the voiceless and disadvantaged citizens.

We are looking for an energetic and self- motivated individual to steer, sharpen and expand Samarthan’s research agenda. If you are passionate about influencing and impacting development scenario by connecting strongly with the grassroots realities, this challenging role is the right platform for you.

Eligibility: M.Phil/ Ph.D in Social Sciences from a reputed institution with 8-10 years of proven research capability on issues of rural/urban development and decentralized governance. Working knowledge of statistical package like SPSS is desirable.  We also encourage retired eminent professors of reputed universities or research institutes having demonstrated research experience to apply. Candidates with lesser experience maybe considered for other positions in the team.

Location- Bhopal         Compensation: 6 lakhs p.a. (negotiable)
