Development sector is witnessing a change in the process of documenting the works. From paper documentation to PowerPoint, there has been a paradigm shift. The latest being the digital stories. Samarthan has also adopted the similar process in documentation process. For the village level planning by UNICEF, in Dongargaon Block, about a dozen digital stories is developed. The main objective behind developing these digital stories is to effectively reach the target audience, who are community members and generate awareness among the same on some nuanced issues. The grassroots community members can understand the concepts in a better way if they are shown visually. Keeping this in view, Samarthan has adopted this innovative efforts and came out fruitfully with the digital stories.

The themes of the story chosen were according to the of the present day need. The visual presentation of these issues is likely to generate awareness and bring a change in target group. The stories can be screened anywhere with an ease and can be comprehended as they are made in Hindi and Chattisgarhi which are the native languages of Chattisgarh.
