Samarthan has established State Resource Centre (SRC) both in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, which undertakes the function of information collection, producing communication materials and large-scale dissemination. The strong linkages have been developed by organization with media; civil society actors and Government provide us relevant information on contemporary issues. The centre is also a repository of reports of research studies and trainings on issues of Governance, Education, Health, and Gender etc. Audio-visual aids – The centre has around 200 CDs and Cassettes on various developmental issues
Samarthan has started a telephone help line (0755-2424410) on the issue of the Right to Information in Bhopal. Information brochures on the help line have been distributed through the partner NGOs across the state and people have started calling up for seeking advice on the issue of RTI. Trained staffs from Samarthan handle the calls and address the issues being raised. So far more than 150 calls have been received on the help line.
